A Day Out In Whitby!

Hope you don't mind me harking back to my Easter holiday but there is so much to share.

Whitby is one of my favourite places ever, let's pootle...

We even had some sunshine!

And at the end of the day, it was off back to our lovely little cottage for a kip by the fire...

Night Nest...

There was once a magical bird.

She was very shy and wary, and so would only come out at night when every other creature was asleep.

But she never had to fear about losing her way.

Because her magical nest would glow in the moonlight.

I have been a bit obsessed with neon and black recently, isn't it funny how certain colours just seem right at different times?

'The Mixed Media Landscape - From Simplification To Abstraction'

The Steel Rooms is a lovely gallery, cafe, shop and workshop space, it should be a painty, messy, chatty day for arty souls.

(No problem if you've never had a go at mixed media or painting before, all levels of experience are welcome.)
...And I'll bring sweets!

Rusty Shears And Cups Of Tea...

I can't believe how quickly the weeks are flying by and I still have lots to tell you about our trip to Whitby last Easter.

We were fortunate enough to discover a little gem of a tea room called The Rusty Shears.

It's like a Tardis of quirky delights inside...

Sorry, obligatory toilet selfie...

I loved this chap so much I had to jot down a quick sketch...

There was also a fab shop, full of vintage treasures and Steam Punk creations (Mini Goth was most impressed!)

The breakfast was delicious!

And Middie was very kindly given a 'doggychino'!

And on our way out we even found a little grave yard for the broken crockery.
