Scrips And Scraps:

The wonderful Julie Arkell workshop at the Hope and Elvis Studio has really inspired me.
It's made me just want to play with fabrics again.
At first I felt a bit guilty, like I should be doing 'real work', but isn't this how 'real work' is made?
I think I'd forgotten that.

Delivery Day!

Today we tootled off to deliver some bits and bobs to the Bowery Gallery in Leeds.

This pinny has been made from an off cut of my neighbour's favourite 'going on a night out' dress in the '60's!

I was going to post them off but I'm so pleased that we  delivered them personally because the Bowery is such a lovely place.
It has coffee and cake to die for, lots of lovely handmade delights (we did not leave empty handed!) and a gallery upstairs.
AND there are charity shops-a-go-go!
So if you're in that neck of the woods it's definitely worth a visit!

Hope And Elvis: Part Two!

There was just too much to show in one go.
Feast your eyes on the joy that is the world of Hope and Elvis!
This is truly one of my most favourite places in the whole wide world (even including Cornwall!)
And that's saying a lot!
I was transfixed by Vanessa's lovely wrap-around!
Tis little chap nearly came home with me...

Thanks for the fab spread!
Hope I get to sit next to you again Jenny!

Time for tea, Hope and Elvis style!

Louise shows us her papier mâché rabbit made at an earlier Juile Arkell workshop, love the Wayne Rooney face!

Thank you to everyone for such generous sharing of materials, skills and friendship.
I am counting the days until I can visit again.
