It' s Time!

It's nearly time for our group exhibition to open!
It's taken a lot of hard work, planning and laughter to create this exhibition and I'm really looking forward to the grand opening!
The Steel Rooms is such a lovely gallery and everyone there is just brilliant.
On Sunday morning Julie, Emma, Pat and myself met up to lay out the work ready for hanging.
The work is so varied, even though we all were inspired by the theme of 'Time'.
What amazed me is that after a couple of hours playing 'art- jenga,' all the work seemed to gel together really well.
However, Pat and I had to leave the actual hanging up to Julie and Emma....they made it look so easy, but look at our effort!

  1. The work is fabulous. It's going to be great and I really wish I lived closer so that I could come.
    Enjoy!

  4. It looks like a lovely gallery to exhibit in. I have been in one exhibit nothing as fabulous as this. If you can, i hope you'll share more of the work on display after the opening. Have a good time.

  5. I am loving your painted series. The gallery and exhibition looks wonderful! Is there information anywhere on all of the 11 artists? Could you please tell me who did the portrait of the man on turquoise and white, that is on the top of the stack? I would appreciate it. Have a good showing and I look forward to seeing more paintings of yours! Of course I'd miss the stitched pieces if you stopped. You have such a way telling story with your work. Inspirational!

    1. Thanks Laura,
Please contact The Steel Rooms and they can give you all the info you would like.
Hope that's ok, they have a website with their contact details at the bottom of the home page.

    2. Their website does not list the 11 artists or show their work by name.

    4. So sorry Laura,
I don't think I was very clear with my reply.
Not all the artists have an online presence and I don't like giving info on the Interent, I do hope you don't mind.
If you could ring the Steel Rooms Gallery on their contact details at the bottom of their website they would be most happy to help.
I do hope that's ok chuck and thanks again for enquiringly xxx

  6. Oh I thought I had just missed information on the website and you were redirecting me there. I went there before I asked you. Silly me, of course you wouldn't give out information. I wasn't thinking, I was just so moved by that top painting. Unfortunately, calling long distance is not in my budget right now. I will let it go with mystery and if I'm meant to find out the artist I will someday see the artwork and again. Thanks for answering again.

    1. Sorry Laura,
I didn't realise you were in another country.
Would you like to send me your email address in a comment. Then I can pass it onto the gallery and they can send you the info, I wouldn't publish the comment, and then your details would be kept private.
Hope this cunning plan may help you!
      All the best xxx

Would you like to make a comment chuck?
I'd love to hear your thoughts, just a minute and I'll put the kettle on.
Custard cream or bourbon?
