In May I am teaching a couple of collage workshops at the ever so lovely Hope and Elvis.
I'm really looking forward to teaching these brand new workshops and have been preparing in earnest.
I love magpies so much, they are the true 'dandys' of the skies with their extravagant plumage, but their feet are very tricky to draw indeed!
I really enjoy combining drawing with cut paper collage, especially when its beautiful vintage paper!
They take quite a long time to piece together, but I enjoy playing around with the different papers and twiddly final touches.
I hope you like the 'King Of The Magpies', I might even got some prints made in the near future...we'll see...
Hope you have a lovely creative day chuck x
Love your Magpie, love vintage papers. When we rescued two Magpies who had had fallen down the chimney and got stuck behind the walled up fireplace in our bedroom I was so pleased. A colleague of my husband's said, " I hope you shot the bastards " I told him no, we didn't.
