Scrips and Scraps...

There's only a few weeks until the Hope And Elvis workshop!
I think having a deadline really helps push your work along, and I have enjoyed trying to make work from all the precious scrips and scraps I have collected over the years.
We'll be playing with these mixed media techniques on the day so we will get nice and messy methinks!
I think that this piece of lace looks a bit like mini bunting.
I bought it from one of my visits to Hope And Elvis, so it only seems fitting that it should be included!

  3. Love your blog Mrs Bertimus!
I would appreciate your thoughts/advice - I have sewn and crocheted for as long as I can remember, but I have a problem.........I'm just too blinkin neat & tidy! I want to be able to let my inner artist out but the scientist won't relinquish control. Have you any tips for helping the free as a bird randomness out?! Otherwise I'll have to stick to cross stitch kits for the rest of my natural ;-)

    1. It's so tricky because it's so easy to tighten up.
When I feel like this Ill sketch using my left hand. I wouldn't advise you stitching with your non dominant hand though....health and safety and all that!
But apart from that, the best thing is just to keep telling yourself that you are playing so it doesn't matter how it turns out. That is what helps me when I'm getting really mardy which myself!
Hope that helps, please let me know how you get on chuck x

Would you like to make a comment chuck?
I'd love to hear your thoughts, just a minute and I'll put the kettle on.
Custard cream or bourbon?
