Hurray! Hurray! A Hope And Elvis Day!

Today Sam and I were very giddy indeed because the one and only Mandy Patullo was holding a workshop at Hope and Elvis!

Mandy's work is so beautiful, I couldn't capture it properly with photographs...but I tried my best!

We were shown Mandy's wonderful strippy quilts and Louise had most generously shared some of her treasured pieces of vintage and antique quilts and patchwork.
As it was so hot, I decided that today would be the 'I am bald' launch day. I must admit I was a wee bit nervous.
Anyway, a cup of tea from 'my' Daniel O'Donnell mug (sorry Louise, I'm being cheeky) and a room full of lovely creative souls soon put me to rights!

Work in progress...
It's always a fabulous feast at dinner time!

Sam being all professional like!

Some of Mandy's beautiful textile books.
It is so inspiring to see such a textile artists work first hand.

Nicola and Mandy, two English roses being all lady like in Louise's garden...
PHOTO BOMB!
Miss Debs, having a giggle!
Mandy's gorgeous hand made brooch.

Nice piccalilli Louise!

There were some amazing little strippy quilts made today, I wish I'd got the chance to photograph them all...

Thanks Louise, Miss Debs and Mandy for a really fab day!
I still feel all giddy and buzzing...head full of ideas and heart full of happiness after meeting with old mates.

    2. not booked anything else yet - wondering if, following on from a cryptic comment by Louise yesterday, if Rachelle is going back there. Want to do Julie Arkell still and Jessie Chorley, but probably only able to do one :(

I'd love to hear your thoughts, just a minute and I'll put the kettle on.
Custard cream or bourbon?
