The Sailor's Wife.

Yesterday I had a bit of a bee in my bonnet.

I'd had an unfinished painting staring at me for a few weeks.
It sniggered every time I walked past the door.

I started work on it as soon as I got up.
It was an epic battle.
I don't know if I won, we're at that stand-off stage now.
I'll have to leave it alone for a while and not look at it for a few days.
It's about a woman who married a sailor.
I might write a little story about it, but she hasn't told me everything I need to know just yet.
So for now the sailor's wife is staring at me and I'm staring at her...

Oooo! It's A Day Out!

Fancy a day out at Robin Hoods Bay?

I loves it here I do!

Another one for the giant plastic ice cream cone photo album!

Fish and chips?.......

Or something more exotic?

Okay Middie, I haven't forgotten pud!

Now't better than a day at the sea side!

Vintage Whitby!

Fancy a pootle around the vintage shops in Whitby?
'Tis a treasure trove of goodies, so be warned...hang onto those purse strings!
I love it here, it's stuffed to the rafters, full of quirky finds...

I'm sure me Mum had that orange light shade in the 'Seventies...wonder if it's still in her shed?!?

"Ooo! Hello sailor!"
Next stop...Whitby Emporium!
www.whitbyantiquesandcollectables.co.uk

A pinny with a see- through panel...saucy!

I so wanted his Snoopy tea set!

Discovered this very sweet little shop...

Making our way to the famous Magpie's for fish and chips, this is the last shop on our little jaunt.
Treasure Hunt is a really friendly shop, I had a good old rootle and found lots of interesting bits and bobs for my collagey stash.

Don't know about you, but I could do with a cup of tea and me dinner now...
Do you have mushy peas or scraps?
