The Sailor's Wife.

Yesterday I had a bit of a bee in my bonnet.

I'd had an unfinished painting staring at me for a few weeks.
It sniggered every time I walked past the door.

I started work on it as soon as I got up.
It was an epic battle.
I don't know if I won, we're at that stand-off stage now.
I'll have to leave it alone for a while and not look at it for a few days.
It's about a woman who married a sailor.
I might write a little story about it, but she hasn't told me everything I need to know just yet.
So for now the sailor's wife is staring at me and I'm staring at her...

  3. You are ever so lovely chucks!
If you saw me chucking paint around and cursing like a good'un I don't think you'd be that impressed!
As for the sailors wife...she's a dark horse that one.

  10. I immediately thought of Klimt when I saw your painting and had to zoom in. I love those faces, so knowing. What a wonderful place to paint in and to weave stories. You know it already , but I say it again, I think you're dead clever.
