Yesterday I had a bit of a bee in my bonnet.
I'd had an unfinished painting staring at me for a few weeks.
It sniggered every time I walked past the door.
I started work on it as soon as I got up.
It was an epic battle.
I don't know if I won, we're at that stand-off stage now.
I'll have to leave it alone for a while and not look at it for a few days.
It's about a woman who married a sailor.
I might write a little story about it, but she hasn't told me everything I need to know just yet.
So for now the sailor's wife is staring at me and I'm staring at her...
I love it!ReplyDelete
Oh yes, I do think she has many tales to tell...ReplyDelete
What a wonderful painting, Mrs B, I am in awe of your talent. xxx
Oh my what a powerful stare it is...I think she has just asked you for something and is waiting for the answer!ReplyDelete
Have I ever said you are amazing?
You are ever so lovely chucks!ReplyDelete
If you saw me chucking paint around and cursing like a good'un I don't think you'd be that impressed!
As for the sailors wife...she's a dark horse that one.
just totally wonderful! I love it already! she has tales to tell for sure! xxxxxReplyDelete

I immediately thought of Klimt when I saw your painting and had to zoom in. I love those faces, so knowing. What a wonderful place to paint in and to weave stories. You know it already , but I say it again, I think you're dead clever.ReplyDelete
You are very very clever, can't wait to hear what Mrs sailor has to say xxReplyDelete
